Disability, Ability, Motherhood and Hope

These videos are for anyone who is or has a mother, for anyone who has a disability and for those who are called to love:

"This [Cerebral Palsy] is very much a syndrome that comes along in the wider consciousness of the miracle babies. People find it very difficult to let miracle babies grow up. People quite like the mythology of the "miracle", so they don't really like the reality of the nitty and gritty of the reality thereof- and a lot of the reality isn't particularly pretty." Amy Hogan

"I felt judged by other people, probably because I was judging myself."

"But I made a conscience choice to have a child. I don't think any parent when they're pregnant, thinks they're going to have a child with disabilities. But I made that conscience choice and I love my son- so I can't walk away from him- so you have to find the strength."

Acts 4:8-12 "Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders, if we are being examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by him this man is standing before you well.  This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.  And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
