Along the Road: Kansas Wind and Energy

These photos were snapped along the road.
To capture the wind for energy is amazing. It has also stirred up some gusty conversation and controversy!

Impressive indeed! Dad rigged the camera to my helmet so I could keep my hands on the handlebars! :)

LOL Mom! ♥ U :)
Do you drive your own motorcycle or ride with your hubby? I need to know this. We have a Goldwing...I think we need to come see you guys sometime and go for a ride!!

As for the wind things...On I-80, I see the blades and the towers on semis being taken to where ever they are going. I saw a bunch of them just today, as a matter of fact. We have them in western Iowa, too. To be honest, they creep me out, ie: I'm scared of them. If I am driving, I can get so busy staring at them going round and round, that I forget to keep my eyes on the road. They are mesmerizing.

Amy- I'm not sure who in the world took this vid.. I found it on YouTube! But it does look fun! Mike nor I have a cycle., but if you ever get a hankerin to take a road trip this direction we would be happy to meet you both!!! My brother is the cyclist and Custom car enthusiast in our family. He started with bicycles and graduated to motorcycles! (It's in his blood, I think, because even after a motocross cycle accident (minor, but close to major!) which might have scared me away, he got back on and rides all over today!

I agree with your sentiments about the wind turbines. They are massive and can be mesmerizing, distracting and scary! I wonder if I'm afraid of what I don't understand... or if I'm afraid because I have good sense! ;)

Amy- I think Goldwings look like a fairly comfy ride. Yes?
