Mike lived in Inman for about a year before he moved to Hutchinson where we met.
He worked at Chase Grain primarily mixing and delivering feed.
Chase Grain has been closed and even the grain elevator where Mike worked is gone. Highway K-61 used to run directly beside Inman presenting Inman as a stop along the way, but the highway has been rerouted to bypass the town. Now, Inman is easier to speed by than to notice. (That seems a shame.)
Recently, we decided to detour into town and have a look. We stopped for lunch at The Harvest Cafe where they offer smaller meals for smaller appetites and delicious brewed iced tea!
Here are other grain elevators, but I don't know if they are in operation.

Despite the decline in traffic, Inman is still a busy little town. We were impressed with a good amount of sidewalks, nice parks and friendly folk!
