A year has passed.

It seems that a year would be time enough to form words for the flood of thoughts and emotions, but "words don't go far enough".
We'll go to the cemetery and lay roses on the grave today.

I've come undone and I'd stay that way were it not for the hope of Christ.
Death is an ending here, but also a beginning for the believer in Christ's gift of redemption.

"...and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:5

Mom's last visit at our house:

Tab and the kids were here from Florida.
Peek-a-boo Tabitha and Naomi,
My Dad is behind Tab.
Mike's Dad is in the jean jacket.
Marcail is looking at a book and Henry is next to Mom.

Four Generations of Love, Sweet Love

Mom and I spent many years practicing love, sweet love.

“And now, Lord, for what do I wait?
My hope is in You."

Psalm 39:7

Hugs and prayers, my friend. I wish I could be there in person and grieve your loss with you. Paul's brother is having cancer surgery today. He is 63. We'd be undone, also, as you say, if it weren't for the hope of Christ.

The first year is the hardest.

It's because of Jesus, we can say, "it is well with my soul...." when the hard times hit....
