Pussy Willow

I remember walking in the yard with Mom looking for signs of spring when I was a young girl. She stopped to show me the fuzzy pussy willow buds beside the fence as if to share a secret or treasure. She said when Pussy Willows bud, it is one of the earliest signs of spring. After I reached out to touch the softness and picked a soft bud to rub on my cheeks, my eyelids and ears, I decided that her delight was also mine.

Beautiful photos and beautiful memories!

Mine childhood flower memories are of forsythia and morning glories.

My sister's name was Cynthia, so we used to say they were blooming for-cynthia :-)

I'd run outside and try to "snap" the morning glories before they'd open.

Red geraniums, roses, and pink begonia's, too, in the summer, and many more.

It's a blessing to grow up with all that beauty. My best friend's dad used to say that people who plant flowers are always thinking of others...

Can't seem to paste these photos, but maybe you'll find them...

So sorry again, for your grief. I'm sure a thousand "little things" remind you of your mom.
Outstanding photos! What do you edit with?

sorry I haven't been by or commented in so long. So sorry to hear about your mom. I think the hardest journey thus far, in my life, has been the one of losing my mom. Seems like everywhere I turn there precious memories, which is comforting and hard all at once. I am praying that you are comforted as you travel your journey of grief.
