Hi Zoanna! Yes I’ve been to Maryland. And yes it is beautiful! I’ve only been just inside the border across West Virginia to Oakland, MD. My folks were born and raised in West Virginia at the tip of the Monongahela Nat’l Forest near Aurora, Eglon, Thomas, Davis, Terre Alta etc.. They still have family there and when I was a kid our family would drive “back east” nearly every summer. The last time I was there was 200? (mid-2000‘s). Anyway, we stayed in Oakland. We also vacationed (family reunion) at Deep Creek Lake in MD if I remember right. I love those WV mountains! I used to wonder why my folks left that beauty to come to Kansas, but now I’m home in Kansas where there is a beauty that can quicken my pulse; the gorgeous open fields and sky, the prairie, good farm and pasture land. We live near the Smokey Hills which have an awesome beauty of their own. Sorry, I’m rambling. I thank you for the welcome and certainly reciprocate the invitation!
