Zo- Yes, June 7th is the day! I'm so glad you said the photo looks Impressionistic. I shall try to keep that in mind as I look at our photos that all seem to be a little off-focus! I'll look at them as Impressionist art works instead of bad photography! I'm so thankful for your insight!!!
And yes, I really like the Impressionist feel of that photo with action all around, yet a "still life" feel.

Oh, I didn't mean it AT ALL as a lefthanded compliment. In fact, until you mentioned it, I didn't realize the photo was out of focus. I was noticing the attire, the elegant outdoor party atmosphere, and the TREE. It looks like one the bank of La Seine that Georges Seurat painted which my students copied in art class (the pointillism technique takes on a fuzziness which, now that you've connected the dots for me (pun intended) makes your photo all the more French Impressionistic. You read more into my comment than I meant:). It was all said by an approving, Impressionist-loving artiste.
Oh Zoanna! I KNEW you didn't mean ANYTHING lefthanded whatsoever! I've always just been somewhat disappointed by our wedding photos' weird focus! And yes, I agree about the photo you mentioned! I could never quite put my finger on why I've always liked it, but you summed it up so well! So I do sincerely thank you! I like it even more so now! I've always loved that birch tree especially. My Mom-in-law is the lady w/ the hat in hand by the tree. Great stuff for the Seurat feel!

I had to look twice at the top photo to make sure it wasn't a painting. It looks Impressionist.
You two look so young and relaxed; still do:).
