In honor of the 500th anniversary of the birth of John Calvin,

the developer of The Reformed Family Worship Book has offered a free e-book available to download. Check it out! The author writes: Dear Friends, In honor of the 500th anniversary of the birth of John Calvin today, I have repackaged the Reformed Family Worship Book as a on my family website. Go to http://www.thousandhillsfarm.com/rfwb.php to download your free copy. It is in PDF format, so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read it. (My website includes a link for that, too.) I first presented this book a few years ago, and it included a yearly planner for homeschoolers. But it didn't sell very well, and I didn't have the time necessary to spend on marketing it. So, instead of just throwing it away, I've decided to remove the dated planner section and just offer the rest of it as a free gift to anyone who can use it as a guide to family worship throughout the year. From the Reformed Family Worship Book: Some lasting effects of the Reformation: • Several great creeds and confessions (Augsburg, Belgic, Heidelberg, Canons of Dort, Westminster) • Religious freedom, the right of private interpretation, and religious individualism • Liberty of conscience • Bible translations in vernacular languages instead of only in Latin • The importance of education and schools so all could read and understand the Scriptures • The rise of empirical science • Spiritual equality, which led to political equality and an end to slavery and other forms of social injustice • The rule of law (Lex Rex) and the rise of representative and constitutional forms of government • The stimulation of free enterprise, thrift, industry, savings and investment • The revival of preaching and teaching the Word • The missionary movement, which arose out of a desire to evangelize other nations • A counter-reformation that led to higher morals, clearer dogma, and increased missionary activity in the Roman Catholic Church For more information about John Calvin and his lasting influence, go to http://www.calvin500.com/ In Christ, Ginny Youmans
