A Few Favorite Things

Our neighbor, Terry brought over some lovely home-grown tomatoes from his garden this afternoon! Red ones, yellow ones and some sweet cherry tomatoes! I chose the ripest red one of the bunch and ate it over the sink, like an apple, the way my Dad taught me; tomato in one hand and the salt shaker in the other. This is truly a delight of summer! Our neighbors Terry and Pam, also got a new puppy. He's a cute miniature Australian shepherd named Scooter. He followed Terry over and said hello before snooping in our garage! He was purchased in Oklahoma. Interestingly enough, our friend, Molli also got an Aussie earlier in the summer. She named him Captain Jack. Molli's Captain Jack

Beautiful cherry red tomato!!!

Darling puppy!

If we get a house with a yard, I will have to refrain myself from "needing" a pup too.

What a beautiful cherry tomato! Did you take that picture?

That is a cute puppy. But, I don't have to have one! ;-)

Mmm, I eat tomatoes the same way. I try to make sure I'm alone b/c with a really juicy one I make all kinds of disgusting slurping noises that I bark at other people for making when THEY eat. My philosophy is "food should be seen and not heard" unless I am the one making it heard. What a Pharisee I am.

Cute puppy. I like thinking that God said of Siamese cats and Australian shepherds, "and they shall have blue eyes" and it was so.
